Life’s Lessons:
This winter was terrible from a health aspect. This season’s flu was one of the worst in years. I can certainly attest to that. In addition to the flu, there were also the viruses and Covid which you can be exposed to. These illnesses, when you are so blessed to get one of them, put you down for at least a good week before you feel somewhat better.

What steps should you take:
• Get the Flu and Pneumonia shots as our health community suggests, especially if you are a senior
• Secondly since these illnesses are at times very severe, be sure your family and/or friends know you are sick and are checking on you. This year’s flu takes every ounce of strength from you to the point you could very well be unable to care for yourself or your pet.
• For those living alone, you may want to consider a support system as Life Alert which is always monitoring you.
• We have had several incidents in the community where a resident fell and was lying helpless until found.

Snow Cleanup:
During the recent snowstorms, the HOA sent out information through blast calls that all cars must be moved from on street parking and off the main roads or being subject to towing. Condo V Board supports the HOA as they prepare for snow removal. Please support them by doing as they ask and moving your car. Snow removal is more effective and will take less time to complete when there are no cars in the way.

Condo 5’s Landscaper and Snow Removal company has been doing an excellent job. However, when venturing outside, please be aware of your surroundings and the condition of the areas you will be moving through. There may be some black ice due to the fluctuation of temperature. If you can wait to go out, please wait until the conditions outside improve and are safe.

March is the month SPRING begins. As Robin Williams once quipped, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s party!’” March 20th marks the beginning of Spring. Keep in mind, we can still have snow during this month. The weather is crazy.

On March 9th, we will spring forward and adjust our clocks for the beginning of spring. Can you believe we are already here. We will move the clock ahead one hour.

Of course, we can’t forget St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th. Who doesn’t look forward to Corned Beef and Cabbage.

Condo V Board will have their first meeting at the beginning of April. We will be discussing drainage issues, and other projects for the upcoming season.

Enjoy the rest of the winter season, before you know it, we will be taking about summer.
